This is very possible, in fact for an expirienced person it would
take less then a week to build an app like that. However i'm not sure
that it could be done with Java. Pilot does not support full implementation
of java. And the subset that supported is not very impressive and more like
a toy.

P.S. The only problem here is that either you need palm VII or use some
third party wireless unit.
