Does anyone have any experience with the following:

I've noticed an unusual difference between
Palm OS 2.0 and higher: when you are in an
application and you tap on the application icon,
OS 2.0 does not actually terminate (i.e.
appStopEvent) the application right away. It
seems to wait until you tap on a different application
first. If you tap on the same application before anything
else, then it simply returns to that app. I would
guess that this is an optimization to make switching
out of an application faster. This doesn't happen in Palm
OS 3.0 or higher.

Unfortunately, this behaviour is not desirable
in my application. I want to know right away when the
switch occurs. I've kludged around it for now by checking
for a pen tap in the application icon area inside the
EventLoop. Does anyone know a better way around this?
Anyway to turn off this behaviour inside my application?
