  noticed it..

  how about catching the "apps" button in the event, and
  then switch manually to the built in "application launcher"

  i noticed when playing games i could exit, then start
  the same application again - and it would start off
  where it was when i exited (ie: not terminate properly).

  another way is to manually post a close event.
