Check the OS build date.  (Do shortcut-dot-6 in a field.)  My Palm VII
device says 4/7/99, 5:43pm.  Is yours a retail unit or one of the old
beta trial units?

Does this happen for you in POSE or just your device?

Does it happen after a hard reset, if it's practical to try?
