In my experience, the appData field of the socket isn't transmitted. The filename can
be used to send such data but you have to be careful to avoid '.' since this will mess
up the extension. Of course you can add whatever you want to the data stream itself
once the socket is open but this data isn't available when you're trying to decide
whether to accept the incoming beam (sysAppLaunchCmdExgAskUser). It would be nice if
the appData field was transmitted...
