This is a major problem on Windows ! Because files are only qualified by
their extension, it is not possible to do what you want.
If you try a Macintosh, you'll find that each file has a kind and a creator,
so you can have .c TEXT files associated with CodeWarrior and other .c TEXT
files associated with SimpleText (the Macintosh equivalent to WordPad).

So send your remarks to big brother Microsoft rather than Metrowerks.
