I wish some one could tell me which three wires you need and what the names
of each one are EX rd,sd,gr.

This won't help much, I'm afraid, because I don't have many details, but
I do know that POSE emulates the serial port, using the host computer's
port. Our software guy (who sadly isn't on this list) used POSE
occasionally to "talk" to our hardware over serial while debugging, so I
know it works, but I don't have many details. This was on a Mac, we made
our own custom cable (to fit the Palm connector on our hardware), and it
was simple 3 wire serial, 19.2K baud (no hardware handshaking).

You mentioned a null modem cable, have you tried a regular one? I think
that's what you want for this...
