This will be a wonderful step forward for 3COM. Maybee Symbol will wise
up
and release the SPT1740 libs in the .a format instead of the proprietary
.lib format that CodeWarrior pumps out. You'd think the fact that
HandSpring
does it would be enough of a wake up call that you can't put all your
beans in
bag. This harkens to Microsoft making libs and Borland coming in and
being able
to use Microsoft libraries. It doesn't make Microsoft or Borland better
than one
another - rather it allows the development community the opportunity to
choose their
own development tools. A common courtesy. Go John, Go!
