The registration process appeared to be DOS-based - ugh. As far as 
capturing visitor information, we just had people beam us their cards, 
which worked for about 85% of booth visitors.

Needless to say this approach won't be as useful at conferences other 
than Palm developer conferences.

As an aside, a surprising number of people didn't know that if you have 
designated a business card, you just need to hold down the "Phone" button 
without even turning the unit on to beam the card. We earned a few 
brownie points by teaching people that trick.
