GCC Compile times

I seem to remember a comment on this list regarding lengthy compile times on
NT WS 4 with gcc. I just installed VirusScan from Network Ass and my compile
times went up drastically.  Stopped the services related to VirusScan and my
compile times returned to normal.

Just though it might help someone who had VirusScan installed _before_ they
installed gcc and thought the lengthy compile times were normal.
