You are probably looking at more than a few hundred dollars for
something like this. That would buy you perhaps 3 hours of time from
an experienced Palm developer (if he was in a good mood), which is in
no way enough time to develop something like this.
The person I know who has barcoding experience is Steve Patt at
www.stevenscreeksoftware.com, but don't contact him unless you are
ready to pay at least a few thousand dollars. Developing barcoding
software on both the Palm, and a desktop conduit to run on the PC,
and an installer for all of it (3 pieces of software!) is
complicated, even for the simplest applications.
