Uhhm, okay, I wasn't aware of that.  In that case, assume, for the sake of
argument, that I have an application that's trying to clean up after another
errant application which has a habit of leaving databases open.

The question is:  Is there a "correct" way close an open database if one
only has its local ID and card number?
