Syncing with POSE

Sorry if I am posting a question that has been answered recently...  I am
trying to hotsync with POSE and the sync process fails when it trys to
determine the userid.  The HotSync progress window goes away, and the
emulator screen eventually shows a hot sync connection was lost error.  Any
ideas?
