I too get this error quite frequently.
I discovered that if you attempt to go into debugging mode (Select Debug in
IDE) while the app your plan to debug is running you will get this error.
If you assure that you are in another app like preferences or something then
you should not get this error.

Am using CW6 on Win98 with Poser 3.0a3. Occasionally when I start debugging
I get an error box "The debug helper app could not be found. The registry
key, "BDWM" is not defined." I usually have to shut down CW and/or Poser or
both (not really sure which sequence works) to get this error to go away.
Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
