I do this all the time. The trick might be in the HotSync preference
settings:
1) In POSE properties, I check the "Redirect Netlib to host TCP/IP"
2) In Hotsync "Primary PC Setup", I put my PC's network name and set the
address to "127.0.0.1" (this is the TCP/IP local loopback address).
3) In "LANSync Preferences", I set it to LANSync.
4) In "Modem Sync Preferences", set to Network.
5) On the main Hotsync screen, I set it to "Modem", then tap to "Select a
service", pick any, and put a single "0" as the phone number.
That's it. Tapping on the sync icon then connects it to HotSync on the PC
(make sure that HotSync has the "Network" choice checked).
