Well, you could just hook a 3v power supply up to the battery terminals.
That ought to keep it going. Might void your warantee, but at least your
batteries won't run out. This is what we at Palm do when debugging since its a
real pain if your batteries die while you're debugging (...and the serial port
draws a lot of power).
