Sounds good to me. I could use such a control for navigating large scoresheets.
However, we have adapted the "less is more" philosophy with respect to features. If
we can't find a way to elegantly include a new feature (i.e - it would not integrate
into our interface without disturbing the delicate balance of usability and
functionality) we prefer to error on the side of leaving it out. I hope Palm
continues to integrate new hardware and software functionality judiciously. Obviously
this approach has worked thus far.

Hi.
Has anyone else thought it would be useful to replace the middle button on
the palm with a gamespad style four way button.
It would be very nice to be able to scroll in all directions from a single
h/w key. My main interest in this is to navigate documents but I am sure
games writers would be made happier too.
Perhaps if enough people think this is a good idea perhaps we may see it on
future palm devices. Maybe Palm have a good reason for only providing up and
down.
