I wrote a server application to run on a Unix box, and an app for the Palm
to connect to it. The server listens on a port, the app opens a socket
connection and sends a packet containing a filename. The server opens the
file and sends it back as a packet, and the app shoves the info into a db
record and closes the socket. A simple but effective way of getting a data
file onto the palm where another app could use it. Sorry but I can't send
sources, they're not mine to give, but if you've done any socket programming
you could try it. I had it working in a morning.
