I was having no luck with POSER communicating with my hardware until 3.0d4
Now it seems to work(mostly).  The biggest difference may be NT (since I'm
using 98).   You also may want to use a NULL modem cable at least on the NT
side.  I've seen several instances where this helped the PC's UART.
Keith may be able to lend some other insights.
