Hey, if you're to develop MP3 player (which, given the current Palm hardware
is impossible just for the speaker if not for the processor speed) you
should be able to deal with this answer yourself.
One of the first things a friend of mine did with his new Palm was to check
how many integer and fp operation the device can handle in say, ten seconds.
The second test was even better: he left the device running the calculations
until the batteries were down enough to force display to turn off.
