I just spoke to a manager at Palm's Online ordering number and
she told me that the estimated dates that the agents tell you are
always two weeks out because they in fact have no idea when they
will receive the device. She also said that they only get 5% of the
product and they favor delivery to retailers.
So as usually I have to go out an pay full price in order to support
my users. The developer's discount is not very usefull for new
products, it takes over a month to get your hands on a device
that you can buy at your local retailer on the first day.
