I've worked extensively with the 1740s. By and large, they work quite
nicely ... transparent TCP/IP stack, more or less.
Be careful with the Symbols ... they don't document certain things well,
and they're very finicky (like Palms in general). If you get something
wrong, they're very sensitive.
Another annoying thing is that the SDK suggests you not pass timeouts to
any of the TCP/IP functions ... this makes non-blocking I/O impossible, and
certain kinds of applications unworkable (since the Palm isn't
multithreaded).
