There is an offhand comment in the Palm Programming book from O'Reilly on
page 251...
"Symbol also has a neat utility program that lets you turn the SPT 1500
device into a unit dedicated to your application. The utility allows you to
reflash the device ROM to include or dedicate it to your application. For
more information on this, contact Symbol."
Now, the SPT 1500 is basically a Palm III with a scanner grafted to the
top, so perhaps this tool would work for a non-Symbol Palm device? It
wouldn't hurt to look into it.. Symbol's web site is http://www.symbol.com
