Actually, that's not entirely correct. The battery check interval does increase once
the low-battery warning appears, and increases again when the very-low-battery warning
appears. On licensee devices, the battery check interval may vary depending on what
the device is doing at any given time. For example, on Symbol scanner devices, the
battery is checked about once per second while scanning, and about every 5 seconds
when not scanning.
Our OS engineers are looking into this strange behavior right now... stay tuned for
more info as it comes in.
