I am interested in knowing (didnt see any docs) if its possible to have an application on the desktop (either in C or Java) perform a HotSync automatically without having to press the button on the cradle. I realize the Palm itself can initiate a sync but can an application call back out to the cradle is what I want to know. Im assuming this would implement the Palm as being the "server" in this case and the desktop being the "client", but is there a way to open and monitor the serial port and sync info from a desktop application.
