In Palm OS 2.0 and earlier, each heap was 64K, so the maximum size that a chunk
could be was a little smaller than that. In Palm OS 3.0, the maximum heap size
was changed (up to 16Meg, I think), and so chunks could be greater than 64K.

"So what" is that you might find it better to invest your talents elsewhere.
Perhaps it's just me, but I don't understand the benefit of adding support for a
feature that people can't take full advantage of.
Mind you, I completely understand that your time is your own. I'm not trying to
tell you what to do. I'm just trying to understand why you're doing it.
