Palm Debugger v3.5 running on Win2K. I select Install Database and Load
Symbols... to download a .prc file that was compiled using the GNU tools on
a Linux host. I see in the console window that the code segment was loaded
properly but get the following in the debugger window:
Using symbol file: foo.code.1.sym
Error: SymFileAdd: Invalid symbol file: foo.code.1.sym. Bad line count
The .c files were compiled with:
-mvs-err-msgs -O1 -g -Wall -DERROR_CHECK_LEVEL=2 -O1 -mdebug-labels -DDEBU
G_FORCE=1 -DCPU= -DVISOR -DDEBUG
and then processed to generate the .prc and .sym files. The generated .prc
runs on the HH.
Any suggestions on what's going on here?
As an aside, has anyone gotten the debugger to attach to a HH using USB on
Win2K? It definitely does not work talking to a Visor--though I am able to
hookup the debugger using the serial port (now that I know to hold the UP
button while entering the shortcut to force use of the serial port).
