I use Async+Spy from Frontline Test Systems. (http://www.fte.com) It works
well and co-exists with POSE quite nicely. It just sits in the background
and monitors everything that's going on with the serial ports. We've also
used HP's line of dedicated proto analyzers, but they're expensive; the
software approach is much more economical and convienient.
