Detecting that im running on a IIIC?!

What is the recommended way for an app to detect if its running on a IIIC?


I can sort of do it by checking if im running on >=os3.5, and that that
default but depth==8 but obviously this is not the correct way to do it
there must be a more robust way.
please help.
