I always thought the database type was for developers to distinguish between
their own databases. My conduit needs this database type information to
function properly. I have many of my own types defined, and it doesn't seem
to be causing any problems with anything.

Subject: Re:Palm DB Types: Is there any standard

Hi,

Please look at the file SystemMgr.rh (not .h).
The databases created for Memo, Mail, Calendar, etc. have the database type
'DATA'. When I create a palm database, I set the type to 'Data' and it works
fine.
They define:
#define sysResTAppGData 'data' but I don't use it to set the type for my
palm database.
Hope that helps.
