There is a good book that demostrates a Palm talking to a GPS reciver using
the NMEA protocoll. The book is a home at the mo, but I am bringing it in
tomorrow, and I can email you the example code, if that will help. Or if
there is abig demand for it, I'll put it one my website.

Has anyone done anything that they can share
with PalmOS and GPS?

There is a very neat unit out now from RandMcNally
(built by Magellan) at the reasonable price of
$177/$199 (including Streetfinder software) and
I can foresee a number of applications that could
benefit from GPS functionality.
