You could write a Palm hack (search the Knowledge base for info
about hacks) that changes the logo at boot and flashes an ad or
two every time the user goes to load an application. This would
of course be annoying, but it's a price to pay for a free Visor.
Then again, the Visor is pretty cheap already...
As for a banner, as PalmOS is not really multitasking or
multithreaded to the degree where you could display something like
that at all times, you'd have to work something out with Palm that
would allow you to modify the application launcher itself to do
this. I don't have any idea as to whether you can actually do
this or not, but it might help get you oriented in the right
direction.
