SendKeys -> Serial -> Palm

General question,

Does anyone know of an app that already allows a user to type on their normal PC 
keyboard directly into the Palm via the cradle?  Or
if there is some open code which accomplishes this type of task?  Either 
C/C++/VB/Java?  Or even preferably a snippet of code for a
"listener" on the Palm?
