If newer units came with a newer OS, you most definately would *NOT* want
to downgrade them. It's a pretty sure bet that new units *require* the
new OS to function. New hardware, new drivers, etc..
However, you would most likely be able to upgrade the older units to the
new OS, if you are trying to be consistent.
Of course, only Palm knows the complete answer to this...
