I agree that it is not very polite, but our product is aimed at the corporate 
market, where the device is part of the corporate communications 
infrastructure. It is not the user's device per se and he should not be able to 
do everything he/she likes. 
Back to my question - is this doable on a Treo 650?

they think is best.  Almost invariably it is not what the user wants.
