In my experience, lots of software works again after trial has run
out simply by deleting its preference/settings database...
Then the 0 days remaining turn back to 15 days/etc. Well all
settings/options are lost, but...

Whatever you do it can be easily worked around. MultiuserHack and other
tools are around. Try searching group archive - there're a couple of
treads on finding device uniq id.
