Are you aware of a sample application which do that?
SysUIAppSwitch --> the browser opens a database and renders its content (HTML)
This way I can have my help residing next to the application. In my case it
wouldn't be that bad to leave my application.
The question here is how one should store the HTML content in the database so
that the browser can interpret it correctly.
Thanks for your valuable time!
You have to send the data to the browser through the exchange manager
(create the exchange socket, fill the buffer and send it to the
browser). As Ben noted, this process is kind of complex. There are no
applications that will do this for you, that I am aware of.
Another option is to use Palm's HTMLLib if your application will only be
running on Palm devices (as in, devices from Palm, Inc.) from the past 2
years. To my understanding, the documentation is pretty vague on the
subject. Also, I am note sure how good my advice for using HTMLLib is,
since I do not know what mechanisms it uses to read HTML data, since I
have never had to use it in the past.
Your best, and easiest, route is probably to use the FrmHelp API and
just use plain text. Another route is to just create forms in your
application with help info on them, though that is just as complicated
as the exchange manager route.
