Hello,
I mean that it would be a task of any benefit to add a Help API into
the PalmOS, based on HTML.
At the moment there are in my opinion only the both described ways,
1) to display help via html-files stored on the memory card using the
browser, with the disadvantages
- that it doesn't run on the zire or any other device without memory
card,
- that there is no possibility to return to the application where the
help call comes from and
- that the installation of the html-files on the card is a second step
which makes it more difficult for unexperienced users.
2) to use the string resource as described earlier in this thread with
the disadvantage
- that this solution is restricted to PalmOS. Any other computer and
operating system uses primary html nowadays.
Therefore I mean that the creation of a open html-help-api would be the
best way. Maybe there is any person to handle this job?
