Look, I know that what I want to do is "bad form". It is not something that I 
would generally do or even want to do.  

But this is not "all of my programs".  This is not a "general use" application. 
 This is a particular application for a particular client for a very specific 
usage scenario.  Basically, the device has to act like there are only two Palm 
applications on the device: this application and HotSync. 

So I only let the user exit from the application when they indicate that they 
want to sync.  And then I send them to the HotSync application 
(SysUIAppAwitch).  The issue is how to ensure that they can only switch back to 
my application.

I've programmed the 4 hard keys, and I can trap pen strokes on the silkscreen 
buttons via the pen stroke notification.  The sticking point now seems to be 
the "tap and hold on the silkscreen buttons" functionality on the TX (and T3).
