Using telnet, it didn't work either... It says that the connection failed.

I've found lots of examples of how creating a server socket and I think that I'm doing it correctly. The problem is how to test it! I would like to know it it's possible (making a connection from outside the device)... Have anyone ever done this? And... does anybody have an example to show me?

If you've tested everything else, you might try connecting to the server socket with a telnet client (don't forget to specify the port) instead of your Java program -- that would help rule out the Java program behaving other than you expect.
