Seems like you're biting off a lot more than you can chew at the moment.
What you really need to do is start out with some simple programs.. you
have written "hello world", right?  Once you get hello world working, then
take small steps up to editing data, saving to databases, etc..  

It seems that many beginners tend to say, "I'm really new and have no
experience, but I want to write some XYZ complex thing that does ABC and
lets me tie into the web via IJK wireless device with QWE color support
and need to have it all done in a week so please answer all my questions
with fully documented code"..    Slow down, start small, and it's going to
take time.

For some good places to start, the code samples and reference are your
friend, as well as the companion.  Get the samples and start playing with
them.  A very good book, "Palm Programming: The developer's guide" is good
to have in paper, but is also on line at:
