Most of the material on JavaScript (including a disappointing number of books) teaches coding patterns that are inefficient or difficult to maintain. One website for learning _good_ JavaScript is http://javascript.crockford.com/ (and his book is good, too).

However, no one can make regular expressions easy to understand or maintain. :-(

I don't want to clog this list with programming questions outside its
charter; has anyone discovered a good forum for discussing (what
little is known about) programming in webOS?

It is probably inappropriate to chat about it much on Access's site. :-)

It is an open question whether Palm will be providing an equivalent forum to this, but there is some webOS chatter about it on the PEF forum.
