Don't think so...you'll have to get nasty with the hardware registers.
In my experience PalmOS didn't support 16 gray shades properly until
PalmOS 3.3 (despite EZ devices being capable of it).
Although I'd love it if somebody would correct me!

I noticed the glue library has nothing in it involving graphics.
If you wanted someone with an older (EZ) Palm running OS 3.1 to switch
into 16 shades mode, would you have to write the low level driver
yourself, or is their an approved way to do it?
