I'm glad to know that the login script gets processed BEFORE the PPP
negotiation.

I've got a new question. What would cause the Palm to skip PPP's optional
Authentication negotiation/setup?

PPP does a Link Control Protocol (LCP) negotiation/setup, an OPTIONAL
Authentication (CHAP for Palm/RAS) negotiation/setup, and the PPP framing
(Internet Protocol Control Protocol or IPCP for Palm/RAS)
negotiation/setup, in that order

Something the WaveLAN is doing is causing the Palm to skip the
Authentication setup, and I'm hoping someone might know why. I say the
Palm is skipping the step because the RAS server is left waiting to
authenticate the user.

Thanks,
