Other than backup/restore, Palm OS does not provide direct Hot
Sync support for file streams, and none is planned at this time.

This is kind of what I was trying to say, it was lingering in the
back of my memory from when I last read it several months ago, but
besides the speed differential, I couldn't quite put it into any
written form. =)
