Thank you, I had noticed that. I do disable the receive whan I am
transmitting. I'll take a second look at the code to make sure this is
still the case.

*sigh*, yes I believe so. My research led me to believe that all of the
various layers of the IrDA specification requre bi-directional
communication. I am dealing with unidirectional Ir transmission so don't
have that luxry. I very much appreciate your response, however! Let me
know if I'm wrong :->
