Uhh, what exactly were you doing in your simple app?  If you can
get to the launcher, you can access the menus and delete your app
off the unit.  If you can't get to the launcher, then you were doing
something a little more than simple...have you tried holding down the
scroll up and soft resetting?  Was this caused by debugging the app
and being stuck in console mode.
