This is a standard "something crashed, segmentation fault" error. Since
this error occurs whenever you try to open a file, you may want to delete
the Codewarrior IDE preferences -- these may not be overwritten by a
reinstall. They're located in your Windows/Metrowerks directory.
Was there anything else changed on your machine between when it worked and
when it stopped? Video driver update? New input device? Use of a UI shell
program? Installation of a different development tool?
One other idea: make a text file with a really odd, unused extension. Try
to open the file directly. If it works, then you could have a registry
problem. If not, then it would be an IDE text engine problem (and it really
SHOULD NOT be happening).
