The numeric only field is just that, numbers. There is no filter for signs, decimal,
exponent of anything else like that. If you
need to go beyond unsigned integers, you will need to write your own field validation
routine as you write it into a text field.
As far as the Visor goes, I wouldn't be surprised if they wrote their own custom
parsing fields for their PIMs.
