Please don't change the current mechanism Keith, I believe it works
fine!

Personally I've developed using a mix of 'stable' and 'seed' versions
depending on my current need. Possibly confusion arises from the
slightly odd terminology? I would much prefer to always have the 'seed'
version available on the web site as it is now rather than possibly miss
out because some other distribution method is used :).

...says the man who sends me all those private bug reports! :-)

Sadly, the problem here is that I keep forgetting to move the "seed"
version to
the "stable" page after a decent amount of time has passed. I'll
immediately
send in a request that that be done.

The purpose of the seeding page is so that I can get some external
testing
before inflicting a new version on the rest of the world (which now
numbers over
100,000 developers). Since that mechanism causes continued confusion,
I'll look
into using some other mechanism (for instance, something along the lines
of
Metrowerks' MPTP program, where I post something on an FTP site and send
out
e-mail to core testers).
